Low Confidence when Submitting a Product

After submitting product photos, you may encounter a screen that indicates “Low confidence” on the current submission. This may occur for a variety of reasons:

  • Blurry or incomplete: When submitting photos, ensure that each image is clear and the label information is readable. Make sure that all creases and crinkles are smoothed as best as possible.
  • Non-English labels: At this point, we are aonly able to transcribe labels in English.
  • Complex labels: Though Spoonful AI can pick up most ingredient lists, there may be some for which this is too difficult (think supplements with long, complex ingredient lists).
  • No ingredients: Most alcohols and alcohol products do not contain ingredient lists. In this case, you can always enter the ingredient list manually in the text box. For example, if you are submitting Casamigos tequila, you might put “tequila” in the ingredient list.
  • Uncropped: Please take the time to crop out unnecessary text from your product photos. This will help the AI focus on relevant information and give a more accurate reading.
